My husband and I (both 50-ish) have been working private sessions with Erin and/or Karen weekly; my husband for well over a year, myself about 8 months. My husband works a very physical job, on his feet over 10 hours a day. I have several auto immune disorders including rheumatoid arthritis of the spine which resulted in a 2 level lumbar spine fusion 5 years ago and severe peripheral neurapathy. If it weren't for the wonderful people at Pilates Unlimited, we would both have much higher medical bills, more back problems and lower self esteem. My husband would now be considered an advanced student I suppose, and he very rarely experiences the back problems that used to plague him almost daily. His stamina has increased 100 fold; he actually needs his Pilates session each week to 'straighten him out' (as do I!). It's been much more effective than massage or yoga or any other type of exercise at making him feel strong and fit. My sessions, also weekly, while maybe not typical of others, have helped me be more flexible and strong, with decreased leg pain and more energy, as well as confidence in my ability to truly exercise.
I could not be more thankful to the staff at Pilates Unlimited for their patience, their knowledge and ability to treat each student as an individual. My personal peace of mind that we are as physically healthy as we can be for our age and ability is priceless; we are lifelong devotees to Pilates and Pilates Unlimited. Our thanks to everyone there.
